Yoga is believed to calm the nervous system and balance the body, mind, and spirit. It is thought by its practitioners to prevent specific diseases and maladies by keeping the energy meridians open and life energy (Prana) flowing. Yoga is usually performed in classes; sessions are conducted at least once a week and for approximately 45 minutes. Yoga has been used to lower blood pressure, reduce stress, and improve coordination, flexibility, concentration, sleep, and digestion. It has also been used as supplementary therapy for such diverse conditions as cancer, diabetes, asthma, AIDS and Irritable Bowel Syndrome. As all the benefits of Yoga Meditation, so, Aleenta Hua Hin is proudly to present “Aleenta Hua Hin ’s Special Yoga Retreat” as the detail below:
DAY 1:
- An Introduction to Yoga
- Techniques and benefits of Yoga
- Relaxation Techniques
- Preparatory Movements
The feature that distinguishes astanga yoga from the other forms of yoga is its unique movement / breathing system, or vinyasa. Movement through the sequence of poses (asanas) is responsible for producing heat, which, in turn, produces sweat. The sweat is both cleansing and purifying. As students progress more deeply into the practice, toxins held in the deeper layers of muscle tissue and internal organs are also released.
The power of the breath is the key to this system of yoga. It draws the mind in on itself and, in so doing, yolks mind and body together. It is the breath, the lock of the energy centers (bandhas), and the eye focus (dristi) that, when applied together, bring about the physical and the meditative aspects of astanga yoga. The practice itself becomes a dynamic meditation.
Day 2:
- Yoga Asana practice
- Surya Namaskara
- Benefits of Pranayama
Pranayam - Yoga works primarily with the energy in the body, through the science of pranayama, or energy-control. Prana means also ‘breath.’ Yoga teaches how, through breath-control, to still the mind and attain higher states of awareness. The higher teachings of yoga take one beyond techniques, and show the yogi, or yoga practitioner, how to direct his concentration in such a way as not only to harmonize human with divine consciousness, but to merge his consciousness in the Infinite.
Day 3:
- Practice of Asanas & Pranayama
- Benefits in Asanas & Pranayama
- Preparation for Pranayama
- Smooth Breathing
- Deep Breathing

Chakra, the first, is the slowest vibrating chakra of the seven major ones. Because of this, this will be the first layer of the aura that a person will see when they start to do energy work, such as healing. This is the chakra most linked with the physical body since its vibration is the closest to the physical shell. Mudras - The physical body is made up of five elements namely - Air, Water, Fire, Earth and Aakash (ether - the tiny intercellular spaces in the human body). Imbalance of these elements disrupts the immunity system and causes disease. Deficiencies in any of these elements can be made up by connecting one part of the body with another in a particular manner through Mudras. When a finger representing an element is brought into contact with the thumb, that element is brought into balance. Therefore the disease caused by the imbalance is cured. Mudras start electromagnetic currents within the body which balance various constituting elements and restore health. The joining of fingers creates an effect on the human body.
Day 4:
- Practice of Asanas & Pranayama
- Its Benefits in Asanas & Pranayama
- Pranava Mudra *Anuloma Breathing*
- Deep Relaxation
Meditation describes a state of concentrated attention on some object of thought or awareness. It usually involves turning the attention inward to the mind itself. Meditation is often recognized as a component of Eastern religions, where it has been practiced for over 5,000 years. It has also become mainstream in Western culture. It encompasses any of a wide variety of spiritual practices which emphasize mental activity or quiescence. Meditation can be used for personal development, or to focus the mind on God (oran aspect of God). Many practice meditation in order to achieve peace, while others practice certain physical yogas in order to become healthier.
