Monkey Mountain & Tham Suwan Kuha Temple Tour
Tham Suwan Kuha
At the entrance of the cave is a chedi that looks similar to the famous Wat Arun in Bangkok. However, it is what is inside that offers the main attraction – an enormous gold reclining Buddha that is both majestic and timeless. The cave also has several standing Buddha figures, important religious items, shrines and stupas that can be visited via a series of staircases and paths snaking around stalagmites and other rock formations within the cave.
Just outside the temple monkeys eagerly wait for tasty treats. It is possible to buy food for the monkeys from several vendors that have set up shop near the temple. Many vendors also sell cold drinks, fresh fruit, and Thai snacks for visitors to enjoy.
