Sustainability at The akyra Bangkok 11
We are a boutique lifestyle hotel on Sukhumvit Soi 11 in the heart of Bangkok. We want you to enjoy your stay while we look after the people and places around us. We are working towards Travelife certification, an international programme for sustainable tourism. This page explains what we commit to and how we measure it.
- Climate. We measure our energy and water use every month and work to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions.
- Nature. We never buy or serve products from protected species, and we favour responsibly sourced and local ingredients at E/R/N.
- Our team. We provide a safe, fair and respectful workplace in line with Thai labour law.
- Human rights. We do not tolerate forced labour, discrimination or harassment, and we protect vulnerable groups.
- Community. We prioritise local people and suppliers, and support initiatives in our neighbourhood.
- Children. We have zero tolerance for child exploitation and abuse, and we report any concern to the authorities.
- Honest information. We keep our advertising accurate, share accessibility information and welcome every guest equally.
- Reduce electricity use per occupied room by 5% by 31 December 2027, against our 2026 baseline.
- Reduce water use per guest night by 3% by 31 December 2027, against our 2026 baseline.
- Take part in at least 2 community initiatives every year.
- Train 100% of our colleagues every year on human rights, child protection and non-discrimination.
