The Send-Off is a pre-wedding weekend at The akyra Bangkok 11 on Sukhumvit Soi 11: two nights for a group of friends, drinks and canapés at E/R/N before the night begins, and Bangkok’s nightlife a short walk from the door. How The Send-Off works

The celebration happens out in Bangkok, and the hotel is the calm place you come home to. Your group starts the evening together at E/R/N with free-flow wine and canapés, heads out into the city, and comes back to rooms on the same floor, a quiet hotel and a good night’s sleep.

That is what makes AK11 an easy base. Soi 11 has some of Sukhumvit’s best-known bars and restaurants, BTS Nana is a three-minute ride on our shuttle, which runs around the clock, and when the night is over you are back in your room within minutes. The morning after, there is breakfast at E/R/N and a pool in the garden by the canal for a slow afternoon.

It suits groups of 10 or more friends flying in from Singapore, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur and across the region for the weekend before a wedding.

The weekend, day by day

Friday: arrive and send them off. Fly into Suvarnabhumi Airport; we can arrange your transfers. Rooms are held together on one floor where available. In the evening, The Send-Off runs at E/R/N, the hotel’s restaurant: two hours of free-flow house wine and five canapés each. Afterwards, the night is yours on Soi 11 and across the city, with the BTS Sukhumvit Line a short shuttle ride away.

Saturday: the slow day. Breakfast at E/R/N, then the afternoon by the pool in the garden on Khlong Saen Saep. For a private pool party of up to 20, we reserve an area of the pool from 12.00 to 21.00, with food and drinks served poolside by E/R/N and a minimum spend of THB 10,000++. If the group wants the city, our street food tour around Sukhumvit and Bangkok’s canals are both close by. Then a second night out.

Sunday: home. Late check-out is subject to availability. Club Rooms include check-out until 16.00.

The Send-Off Plus can be held on a Friday or Saturday evening for 10 to 20 guests, booked at least seven days ahead.

The canapés: smoked salmon on Japanese cucumber with dill cream, tomato and basil bruschetta, a fruit skewer, a ham and cheese croquette, and a vegetarian choice of mushroom tartlet, zucchini on sourdough toast or vegetable spring roll.

Prefer beer or spirits? Free-flow beer is THB 790++ per person and beer with house spirits THB 1,290++, each with the same five canapés and two hours.

• Club Room, 24 sqm, on the top floor: upgraded breakfast, a nightly evening drink, the Detox & Refuel minibar and check-out until 16.00. The upgrade is THB 1,200++ per room per night.

Keeping the weekend easy for everyone

Music at E/R/N ends at 22.00 and the hotel is quiet from then on, so every guest, your group included, sleeps well before the next day in the city. Friends are welcome to gather in your rooms, up to six people per room. Rooms are non-smoking.
