FAQ - Aleenta Resorts & Spa
1. About AYURAH & Locations
AYURAH Wellness is Aleenta Resorts’ integrated wellness concept, inspired by the philosophy of the “Middle Path” — the belief that longevity and sustainable happiness come from living life in balance.
Designed to support better health, balance, longevity and personal wellbeing, AYURAH Wellness combines traditional healing wisdom, modern wellness therapies, mindful movement, restorative treatments, nutrition and personalised guidance in peaceful resort settings in Thailand.
AYURAH Wellness is available at selected Aleenta Resorts, including Aleenta Phuket–Phang Nga, Aleenta Hua Hin–Pranburi and Aleenta Retreat Chiang Mai.
AYURAH Wellness operates three wellness centres in Thailand, each located within an Aleenta boutique resort. AYURAH at Aleenta Phuket–Phang Nga is on Natai Beach, north of Phuket, by the Andaman Sea. AYURAH at Aleenta Hua Hin–Pranburi is on a quiet beach south of Hua Hin town. AYURAH at Aleenta Retreat Chiang Mai is in Northern Thailand, in the foothills of Doi Suthep.
AYURAH Wellness goes beyond traditional spa treatments. While spa therapies are an important part of the experience, AYURAH also focuses on prevention, lifestyle balance, stress reduction, movement, nutrition, recovery and long-term wellbeing.
At AYURAH Wellness at Aleenta Phuket–Phang Nga, selected retreats are supported by the AYURAH Wellness Clinic, science-informed diagnostics and medical oversight where appropriate. This allows programmes to be guided by a clearer understanding of each guest’s health profile, personal goals and specific needs.
AYURAH Wellness is also embedded within Aleenta’s boutique resorts, so guests can enjoy a full beach resort, coastal or Northern Thai experience alongside their wellness journey, rather than a purely clinical retreat environment.
Each AYURAH Wellness location shares the same philosophy of balance, longevity and personal wellbeing, while offering a different setting for the guest’s wellness journey.
Yes. AYURAH is the wellness concept of Aleenta Resorts, a Thai-owned boutique hospitality group. AYURAH wellness centres operate inside Aleenta properties at Phuket–Phang Nga, Hua Hin–Pranburi, and Chiang Mai. Aleenta also operates the akyra hotel brand. Every AYURAH booking includes accommodation at the corresponding Aleenta resort.
The best AYURAH Wellness location depends on the type of wellness journey you are looking for.
Choose AYURAH Wellness at Aleenta Phuket–Phang Nga if you want a comprehensive beach wellness retreat focused on longevity, recovery, vitality and personalised wellness guidance. Located on Natai Beach, north of Phuket, this is the best AYURAH location for guests seeking a more structured retreat experience by the Andaman Sea.

Choose AYURAH Wellness at Aleenta Retreat Chiang Mai if you are seeking mindfulness, meditation, spiritual wellbeing and cultural connection. Located in Northern Thailand, in the foothills of Doi Suthep, this location is best suited to guests who want stillness, inner balance and a deeper sense of personal reflection.
All three AYURAH Wellness locations share the same philosophy of balance, longevity and personal wellbeing, while offering a different environment for each guest’s wellness journey.

Signature treatments and therapies vary by location, allowing each resort to offer its own interpretation of the AYURAH experience.
Guests may visit AYURAH for individual spa and wellness treatments, or choose a complete wellness retreat designed around specific goals such as longevity, detox, stress relief, recovery, fitness or inner balance.
In simple terms, AYURAH is more than a spa and more personal than a clinical wellness retreat. It is a resort-based wellness experience guided by the AYURAH philosophy of balance, longevity and personal wellbeing.
2. Programs & Treatments
AYURAH Wellness offers a range of multi-day wellness retreat programmes in Thailand, designed for different health, lifestyle and personal wellbeing goals. These include retreats for detox and renewal, stress relief, rest and recovery, longevity, fitness and weight management, mind-body balance, women’s wellness, pain management, immune support and executive vitality.
Each AYURAH retreat is created to help guests restore balance, improve daily habits and return home with practical guidance they can continue after their stay.
Programmes range from shorter wellness resets to deeper transformation retreats, depending on the guest’s goals and the level of support required.
A typical AYURAH Wellness retreat ranges from three to fourteen nights, depending on the guest’s goals and chosen programme. The most popular length is seven nights, which allows time for a doctor consultation, daily treatments, dietary adjustment, personalised guidance and more meaningful results.
For a deeper therapeutic effect, AYURAH typically recommends a minimum stay of seven to fourteen days. Some advanced or deeper transformation programmes may extend to twenty-one nights.
AYURAH Wellness retreats are suitable for guests who want to improve their health, reduce stress, reset their lifestyle, or experience a more meaningful wellness holiday in Thailand.
They are suitable for beginners as well as guests who already practise wellness, yoga, meditation, fitness, or healthy living. Programmes can be adapted according to each guest’s needs, ability, and personal wellness goals.
No previous wellness retreat experience is required. AYURAH Wellness retreats are designed to be approachable, supportive, and personalised.
Guests are guided through each part of the programme, including consultations, treatments, movement sessions, meals, and wellness activities. The experience is intended to feel restorative rather than intimidating.
An AYURAH wellness package includes a personalised programme designed around each guest’s objectives, health profile and wellness goals. Before arrival, guests may receive a consultation so the AYURAH team can prepare a more tailored retreat experience.
Depending on the package and location, inclusions may include spa treatments, wellness therapies, mindful movement, recovery experiences, nutrition support, restorative rituals, lifestyle guidance and support from a dedicated wellness host.
At AYURAH Wellness at Aleenta Phuket–Phang Nga, selected retreats may also include wellness diagnostics, doctor consultation or medical oversight where appropriate. The retreat programme can be adjusted during the stay based on the guest’s progress, comfort and personal wellbeing needs.
Wellness packages may include massage, floatation therapy, Vichy shower, body scrubs and wraps, facials, yoga, sound healing, oxygen therapy, magnesium foot bath, Jacuzzi experience and wellness cuisine in selected full-day packages. Inclusions vary by location and package.

Guests with medical conditions, pregnancy, recent surgery, chronic pain or specific health concerns should inform the AYURAH team before booking, so treatments can be safely adapted where needed.

Yes. While AYURAH offers structured programs, every retreat is personalised after the initial pre-arrival consultation. Treatments, meals, and yoga intensity adjust to your goals and personal wellness profile. Guests can also add specific add-on services — extra treatments, private yoga, breathwork, or extended consultations — to any base program at the time of booking or on arrival.
Yes. AYURAH Wellness offers detox programmes in Thailand, including The Detox & Renewal Retreat at Aleenta Phuket–Phang Nga and Nature’s Cleanse at Aleenta Retreat Chiang Mai.

Yes. AYURAH Fitness and Weight Management retreats combine personalised nutrition guidance (including FX Mayr-inspired gut-health principles at Aleenta Phuket–Phang Nga), daily movement and fitness sessions, recovery treatments, body composition analysis and lifestyle coaching. The focus is sustainable metabolic balance rather than rapid weight loss. A minimum 7-night stay is recommended to begin seeing results; longer stays yield more substantial outcomes.
3. Food & Diet
AYURAH wellness cuisine is designed to support balance, recovery, energy and long-term wellbeing. Meals are fresh, nourishing and thoughtfully prepared, with an emphasis on local ingredients, plant-forward dishes, light seasoning and wellness-supportive cooking.
At AYURAH Wellness at Aleenta Phuket–Phang Nga, the wellness menu is focused on gut health and inspired by FX Mayr principles, supporting digestion, mindful eating, gentle nourishment and better overall wellbeing.
Menus may include Thai, Asian and international wellness cuisine, adapted to each guest’s retreat programme and personal goals. During detox, cleanse or recovery-focused programmes, meals may be lighter and easier to digest, with a focus on natural ingredients, hydration, gut support and restorative nutrition.
Vegetarian dishes are available on the main Aleenta menus. Dietary preferences and requirements, including vegan, gluten-free and Jain vegetarian diets, can usually be accommodated when discussed before arrival.
For guests not following a wellness programme, or for accompanying companions, Aleenta’s restaurants also offer regular resort dining menus alongside AYURAH wellness cuisine.
AYURAH wellness menus are plant-forward, with vegetarian dishes available and vegan, gluten-free and Jain vegetarian options usually available when requested before arrival.
At AYURAH Wellness at Aleenta Phuket–Phang Nga, the wellness menu is focused on gut health and inspired by FX Mayr principles, with meals designed to support digestion, balance, recovery and long-term wellbeing.
AYURAH food is not always strictly vegetarian unless the guest’s chosen retreat programme or dietary preference requires it. Aleenta’s restaurants also offer regular resort dining menus, including seafood and meat dishes, for guests not following a wellness programme or for accompanying companions.
Yes. AYURAH accommodates vegan, gluten-free, nut-free, dairy-free, Jain vegetarian and most common allergies. Declare allergies and restrictions at the time of booking and again at check-in. The wellness consultation also considers food intolerances when shaping your meal plan, so dietary needs are integrated into the wellness programme rather than treated as a separate request.
Most guests on AYURAH detox programmes feel satisfied rather than hungry. Meals are lighter and smaller than a standard resort menu but plentiful, designed for easy digestion rather than calorie restriction. Herbal teas are available throughout the day. Energy levels may dip on days two and three as the body adjusts, then typically improve.
4. Daily Schedule & What to Expect
During an AYURAH Wellness retreat, each guest follows a personalised wellness journey designed around their health goals, lifestyle needs and chosen retreat programme. The experience may include pre-arrival consultation, wellness assessment, daily movement, spa therapies, mindful practices, wellness cuisine, nutrition guidance and restorative treatments.
Depending on the location and programme, activities may include yoga, meditation, breathwork, fitness, massage, detox therapies, bodywork, sound healing, doctor consultation, wellness diagnostics or mindfulness practices.
In simple terms, an AYURAH Wellness retreat combines the comfort of an Aleenta boutique resort with structured wellness programming, personalised guidance and daily practices that help guests restore balance and return home with healthier habits.
A typical day at AYURAH Wellness is calm, structured and restorative. Guests may begin with morning yoga, meditation, breathwork or gentle movement, followed by a wellness breakfast and a personalised treatment or consultation.
The day may continue with spa therapies, bodywork, fitness, wellness activities, mindful rest, nourishing meals and guided practices such as sound healing, beach walks, cooking classes or evening meditation, depending on the retreat and location.
The pace is intentionally balanced and consistent, allowing time for treatment, recovery, reflection and rest. At AYURAH, restoration is the goal rather than intensity.
Pack light comfortable clothing for treatments and yoga (loose cotton works best), swimwear, sandals or slip-ons, light layers for air-conditioning, a refillable water bottle, sunscreen, a notebook, and any prescription medication. Treatment oils can stain — bring clothes you don’t mind oiling. AYURAH provides yoga mats, robes, and toiletries.
Yes. All three Aleenta resorts hosting AYURAH wellness centres provide WiFi in rooms and public areas, with reliable Thai mobile coverage. However, AYURAH encourages a digital-light retreat — phones and laptops are discouraged in treatment areas, yoga halls, and dining spaces. Many guests deliberately limit screen time during their stay to deepen the experience.
Alcohol is discouraged during wellness programmes and excluded entirely during detox, cleanse, and weight-management protocols. The Aleenta resorts hosting AYURAH do operate bars and wine lists for non-programme guests and accompanying companions. Guests booked into an AYURAH wellness programme should expect a fully alcohol-free experience for the duration of their stay.
Many guests lose weight on AYURAH detox, cleanse, and weight-management programmes — typically 2 to 5 kg over 7 nights, with more on longer stays. AYURAH does not position itself as a rapid-weight-loss retreat; the focus is metabolic balance and sustainable lifestyle change. Results vary by starting weight, programme intensity, and adherence after returning home.
Yes. AYURAH Wellness retreats are designed to be personalised where possible. The retreat team considers the guest’s goals, current lifestyle, health profile, preferences, and retreat objectives.
In selected programmes, wellness diagnostics and assessments may be included to provide a clearer foundation for individual recommendations.
AYURAH Wellness Diagnostics are health and wellness assessments available at AYURAH Wellness at Aleenta Phuket–Phang Nga. They help provide a clearer understanding of each guest’s current wellbeing profile, allowing selected retreats to be more personalised and results-focused.
Diagnostics may include a metabolic scan, body composition analysis, blood panels and hormone panels, depending on the retreat programme and the guest’s needs. Core diagnostics, such as metabolic assessment and body composition analysis, may be included in retreats where they are required, while blood and hormone panels are available at an additional charge.
For guests who are not joining a retreat but would like to better understand their health and wellness profile, AYURAH Wellness Diagnostics may also be arranged separately at an extra charge.
In simple terms, AYURAH Wellness Diagnostics help turn a wellness retreat into a more personalised journey, guided by measurable insights rather than a generic programme.
AYURAH Wellness is a wellness concept, not a hospital. However, AYURAH Wellness at Aleenta Phuket–Phang Nga includes access to the AYURAH Wellness Clinic, a licensed wellness clinic where selected diagnostics, consultations and wellness services may be arranged.
AYURAH focuses on prevention, lifestyle, longevity, restorative health and personal wellbeing. Its approach combines the AYURAH philosophy of the Middle Path with science-informed wellness practices, including diagnostics, nutrition, movement, recovery and personalised guidance.
Guests with medical conditions should consult their own doctor before joining a retreat or beginning any new wellness programme.

The AYURAH Wellness Clinic does not replace a hospital or medical treatment. Its role is to provide clearer insight into each guest’s wellness profile, so the AYURAH team can personalise guidance around nutrition, movement, recovery, detox, rest and long-term wellbeing.

A wellness consultation or retreat enquiry can help match each guest with the most suitable programme.

Yes. AYURAH welcomes couples and most programmes can be booked for two — with consultations and treatments scheduled in parallel where possible. Couples often book the same wellness programme together. The Aleenta resorts hosting AYURAH are also strong honeymoon and romantic-getaway properties, so couples can combine wellness with leisure across the stay.
Couples may choose programmes focused on relaxation, longevity, movement, stress relief, detox, or mindful living. Some retreat elements may be shared, while others can be personalised for each guest.
Pregnant guests are welcome at AYURAH with appropriate programme adjustments. Certain treatments — deep-tissue massage, some herbal preparations, and intensive detox — are not suitable during pregnancy. AYURAH offers prenatal-appropriate programmes focused on rest, gentle yoga, and supportive treatments. Disclose pregnancy and trimester at booking so the programme can be designed safely.
Children can stay at the Aleenta resorts alongside guests on AYURAH wellness programmes, with family-friendly accommodations available at most properties. The AYURAH wellness centres and treatments themselves are designed for adults, and most programmes assume an adult environment. Families typically combine resort leisure for children with the parents’ wellness programme.
6. Booking, Pricing & Logistics
AYURAH retreats are priced per programme and per night, typically starting from approximately THB 18,000 to 25,000 per night for a wellness programme including accommodation, scaling to THB 45,000 or more per night for deluxe rooms and premium programmes. A 7-night programme for one person is generally in the THB 130,000 to 250,000 range. Pricing varies by location, season, and programme — confirm current rates with AYURAH reservations.
Guests can book an AYURAH Wellness retreat by contacting Aleenta Resorts directly or enquiring through the AYURAH Wellness pages on the Aleenta website. Direct booking is usually the best route because the wellness programme and accommodation need to be aligned, and the team will pre-schedule any consultations or diagnostics.
The team can help recommend the most suitable retreat, location, room type, retreat length and programme inclusions based on each guest’s goals. Travel agents and select wellness specialists can also book on a guest’s behalf.
AYURAH and Aleenta cancellation policies vary by rate plan and season. Non-refundable promotional rates are typically locked, while flexible rates usually allow free cancellation up to 14 to 30 days before arrival. Wellness packages, due to pre-scheduled doctor and therapist time, may carry stricter terms. Always confirm the policy attached to your booking at the time of reservation.
AYURAH Phuket–Phang Nga sits on Natai Beach, approximately 25 minutes by car north of Phuket International Airport (HKT) — often faster than driving to resorts on Phuket island itself. Airport transfers can be arranged through AYURAH reservations. The resort is in Phang Nga province but uses Phuket airport as the main entry point.
AYURAH Hua Hin–Pranburi is approximately 3 hours by car south of Bangkok, or 45 minutes south of Hua Hin town. Most guests fly into Bangkok Suvarnabhumi (BKK) or Don Mueang (DMK) and transfer by private car. A small domestic airport (Hua Hin, HHQ) is closer but has limited flights. Transfers can be arranged through AYURAH reservations.
AYURAH at Aleenta Retreat Chiang Mai is reached via Chiang Mai International Airport (CNX), which has domestic connections from Bangkok and regional connections across Asia. Private resort transfers to the Doi Suthep foothills can be arranged through AYURAH reservations. Guests preferring overland travel can also reach Chiang Mai by overnight train or coach from Bangkok through scenic northern Thailand.
Visa requirements depend on nationality. Most Western European, North American, ASEAN, and many other passport holders receive 30 to 60 days of visa-exempt entry to Thailand for tourism. Longer stays or certain nationalities require an advance tourist visa. Check the official Thai embassy site for your country before booking, especially for wellness stays longer than 30 days.
The best season varies by location. AYURAH Phuket–Phang Nga and Hua Hin–Pranburi are best from November to April (cool, dry, low rainfall). Phang Nga has a heavier monsoon June through October; Hua Hin’s wet season is milder. AYURAH Retreat Chiang Mai is best November to February (cool, dry); avoid March and April when burning-season air quality drops. Programmes run year-round.
7. About Aleenta & akyra
Brand overview and policies that apply across all properties
Aleenta and akyra are two boutique brands within the same Thai-owned group, AKARYN Hotel Group. Aleenta refers to the group's beach and retreat resorts focused on wellness, nature and seclusion — Aleenta Phuket–Phang Nga, Aleenta Hua Hin–Pranburi and Aleenta Retreat Chiang Mai.
akyra is the group's lifestyle hotel brand. The akyra Bangkok 11 is a health-conscious city hotel, distinct from the Aleenta resorts but sharing the group's commitment to wellbeing and sustainability.
Aleenta Phuket–Phang Nga and Aleenta Retreat Chiang Mai are proud members of The Leading Hotels of the World, so guests can also enjoy the benefits of its loyalty programme, Leaders Club.
In addition, all three Aleenta resorts participate in the Capital One Travel and Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer programmes, so eligible stays can earn rewards and miles. The reservations team can confirm current partnership details.
Guests who book directly enjoy a member-only exclusive rate and resort credit from their very first booking — benefits reserved for direct guests rather than third-party reservations.
Aleenta also has many returning guests, and the team takes pride in recognising and welcoming them personally. Booking directly lets us tailor your stay and look after you from the moment you arrive.
Sustainability is central to the group. AKARYN Hotel Group eliminated single-use plastics across all its properties in 2018 — among the first hotel groups in Southeast Asia to do so.
Guest rooms use refillable ceramic amenity dispensers, and guests receive reusable stainless-steel water bottles with self-service refill stations throughout the resorts.
