Floatation Therapy in The Deep Reset Retreat — AYURAH’s Advanced Sleep & Nervous System Recovery Retreat
Aleenta Phuket - Phang Nga
Back to articles
The Deep Reset Retreat, an Advanced Sleep & Nervous System Recovery Retreat is AYURAH Wellness’s sleep and nervous system recovery programme at Aleenta Phuket–Phang Nga, built around daily floatation therapy over three, five or seven nights on Natai Beach, Thailand.
One retreat, two names
The Deep Reset Retreat is the short name; the full programme name is The Deep Reset Retreat, an Advanced Sleep & Nervous System Recovery Retreat. Brochures and partners often use the short form, while the programme page on aleenta.com uses the full name. They are the same retreat, at the same resort, led by the same wellness team.
How floatation therapy works
Floatation takes place in a Dreampod filled with warm, Epsom-salt-saturated water dense enough to hold the body completely. With light, sound and gravity removed, the nervous system has nothing left to monitor. Heart rate slows, muscles release, and brain activity shifts towards the slower wave patterns associated with deep rest.
Sessions last up to sixty minutes, and the effect is cumulative. Over consecutive days, guests typically notice falling asleep more easily, staying asleep longer, and a quieter baseline during the day — the practical signs of a nervous system moving out of a stress-dominant state.
What supports the float each day
Floatation is the anchor, not the whole programme. Days follow the AYURAH structure of four core sessions — a morning movement session, a daily programme session, therapeutic bodywork and one extra session aligned with sleep recovery. Around the float sit a nervous-system-focused massage, sound healing with gong or singing bowls, a magnesium foot soak, herbal steam with cold plunge, and an evening turndown ritual.
Every AYURAH programme is built on the Five Companions of Health — Rest, Detox, Move, Enrich and Guidance — one personalised, doctor-guided method. In this retreat each companion is turned towards a single goal: a nervous system that can settle, and sleep that restores.
Cuisine and movement
Meals follow AYURAH’s sleep-supportive wellness cuisine, inspired by the FX Mayr approach to gut health — plant-forward, fresh and lightly seasoned. Guided movement stays gentle by design: yoga, Pilates, tai chi and light fitness, paced to where your body is rather than where a timetable says it should be.
The setting
Aleenta Phuket–Phang Nga sits on Natai Beach, 25 minutes from Phuket International Airport, with private pool villas and suites facing the Andaman Sea. The resort is a MICHELIN Key hotel and a proud member of The Leading Hotels of the World.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is The Deep Reset Retreat the same as the Advanced Sleep & Nervous System Recovery Retreat?
Yes. The Deep Reset Retreat is the short name for AYURAH’s The Deep Reset Retreat, an Advanced Sleep & Nervous System Recovery Retreat at Aleenta Phuket–Phang Nga. Both names refer to one programme.
How long is the retreat?
Three, five or seven nights. Longer stays add depth — more floatation sessions, additional bodywork and, from five nights, a temple blessing and meditation ritual.
Who is it for?
Guests experiencing chronic stress, mental fatigue, poor or unrefreshing sleep, anxiety or burnout-related exhaustion — people whose bodies are tired but whose nervous systems have forgotten how to slow down.
Do I need floatation experience?
No. The pod is private, sessions are guided, and the water’s buoyancy does the work. Guests float effortlessly from the first session.
