Who the retreat suits

Chronic pain shapes movement, sleep, mood and the texture of ordinary days. The retreat is for guests who want a structured place to try supportive practices, with a host watching how each one lands, while keeping their existing care in place.

Guidance leads. Rest, Detox, Move and Enrich support you through bodywork, recovery, anti-inflammatory food and movement adapted to what you can do today.

Before you book, tell us about your conditions, medication, any recent surgery and your own physician’s advice, so the programme is set with them in mind.

A typical day

A sample day begins with activating beach yoga at 08.30 and breakfast at 09.30. Floatation follows at 11.00, lunch at 12.30 and Pilates at 15.00. A Lymphatic Massage is at 17.00, dinner at 19.00 and the Sleep Turndown Ritual at 21.00.

Movement is gentle, for flexibility and tissue oxygenation. The Light Detox cuisine on this retreat is rich in anti-inflammatory ingredients.

Your own schedule is written from a short questionnaire you complete before you arrive, and it is sent to you before you travel. On your first day you sit down with our Wellness Director, a medical doctor with extensive clinical experience specialising in integrative health. From there your retreat host adjusts the day to how you respond, and a day may hold fewer than four sessions where that is kinder.

What every stay includes

  • a private pool villa with tropical garden;
  • a short questionnaire before you arrive and a conversation with our Wellness Director about your pain and how you live with it;
  • body composition readings and a Metabolic Breath Analysis, so your programme follows how your body responds;
  • a dedicated retreat host;
  • Light Detox cuisine rich in anti-inflammatory ingredients, with AYURAH juices, protein shakes, teas and herbal infusions;
  • gentle movement such as yoga, Pilates, Tai Chi, basic fitness or guided beach walks;
  • mindfulness, breathing and relaxation practice for pain relief;
  • one personal massage or treatment each day, such as Chi Nei Tsang, Lymphatic Massage, Thai Herbal Compress Massage or the AYURAH Crown Massage;
  • the Sleep Turndown Ritual and a departure wellness pack.

Seven nights: the first programme

Seven nights includes two body composition readings, two Metabolic Breath Analyses and seven daily treatments. It also includes two floatation sessions, two Sound Healing Experiences and one magnesium foot bath.

Seven nights is the shortest length on the retreat. It gives your team time to see how movement, treatments and rest work together for you.

Ten and fourteen nights

Ten nights extends the programme to three body composition readings, two Metabolic Breath Analyses and ten daily treatments, with three floatation sessions, three Sound Healing Experiences and two magnesium foot baths.

Fourteen nights includes three body composition readings, three Metabolic Breath Analyses and fourteen daily treatments, with four floatation sessions, four Sound Healing Experiences and two magnesium foot baths.

Should you wish: optional tests

An Advanced Check Up (Blood Panel) with Wellness Consultation is THB 9,416 including tax and service charge. A simple blood test on your first morning gives your Wellness Director a clear picture to work from and you a measure to come back to.

The Micronutrient Profile with Wellness Consultation, THB 30,131 including tax and service charge, adds the vitamins and minerals a blood test does not show, so your cuisine and supplements are set to what your body is actually short of. Tell us which you would like and we will add them.

Additional laboratory tests, intravenous therapies and extended testing through VitalLife Scientific Wellness are quoted on request.

How AYURAH works alongside your existing care

Your Wellness Director reads what you send before arrival and talks the programme through with you on your first day. Your retreat host then watches your comfort and response every day and changes the schedule when it needs changing.

Keep your prescribed medication and your medical appointments as they are. The retreat gives you gentle movement, rest, bodywork, nourishing food and personal guidance around that care.
