Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) has announced a thrilling development for travellers: the inauguration of a direct flight route to Bangkok, Thailand. This marks a significant enhancement in the airline’s services, catering to the growing demand for leisure travel and offering passengers a seamless and convenient journey to one of the world’s most coveted destinations.

New Horizons with SAS

Starting on the 30th of October, 2023, passengers can embark on a direct journey from Copenhagen to Bangkok, with flights scheduled three times a week. The flights are conveniently set as overnight journeys in both directions, ensuring that travellers arrive at their destination refreshed and ready to explore. The route will be serviced by the state-of-the-art Airbus A350 aircraft, known for its efficiency and reduced environmental impact, boasting up to 30 per cent lower CO2 emissions than its predecessors.

Anko van der Werff, President & CEO of SAS, expressed his enthusiasm about the new route, highlighting the longstanding friendship and cooperation between Thailand and the Scandinavian countries. “Returning with a direct route after nine years is a true pleasure,” he said. “Bangkok serves as a vibrant hub for international businesses and is a top destination for tourists worldwide. This route strengthens our network and provides business and leisure travellers a fantastic opportunity to explore the Land of Smiles.”
