Thailand’s First Sustainable Wedding

Thailand’s First Sustainable Wedding - Aleenta Hua Hin Resort & Spa

Thailand’s barefoot luxury boutique resort, is delighted to launch Thailand’s first sustainable weddings – allowing couples to beautifully integrate an eco-sensitivity within their memorable celebration.

Spearheaded by Founder and eco-luxury pioneer, Anchalika Kijkanakorn, Aleenta Hua Hin – Pranburi Resort & Spa will tailor make a romantic experience for newlyweds in order to offset all carbon emissions from their flights. This includes a mangrove planting ceremony along with a trip to the local wildlife centre – all aligned with the organic and green ethos that has been the cornerstone of the resort’s philosophy for the past 15 years.

Further fostering deep connections with their local community, Aleenta Hua Hin runs an organic farming utilised by locals who are able to take home fresh produce for free providing they plant in equal measures. The organic farm’s bounty is then used in the creation of the wedding reception, overseen by the Aleenta’s talented chefs.

“There’s just so many possibilities and we really love to work with our guests to create something original. Yes, we are a five-star luxury resort, but with a heart, and we think this is a wonderful opportunity for couples and their guests to enjoy giving back,” said Anchalika Kijkanakorn, Managing Director, AKARYN Hotel Group. “We are also deeply committed to sustainability and our environment – what better way to celebrate it than to exchange vows in harmony with nature.”

AKARYN Hotel Group has pledged to eliminate single-use plastics by June 2019, and the company is a long-term partner of the Pure Blue Foundation, which supports marine projects including coral reef restoration and turtle conservation.

Aleenta Hua Hin continues to drive the sustainability agenda in the hospitality industry, with a series of innovative policies and practices. The resort follows carefully planned waste management, energy and water conservation policies, and cares for indigenous plants to preserve local species.

Nestled on Thailand’s golden Gulf coast just two-and-a-half hours’ drive south of Bangkok, Aleenta Hua Hin is blessed with a stunningly peaceful location and the flat sands of Pak Nan Pran beach make the location ideal for weddings.
