How to get to Natai Beach in Phang Nga

How to get to Natai Beach in Phang Nga - Aleenta Phuket - Phang Nga Resort & Spa

At Aleenta Phuket – Phang Nga Resort and Spa, we’re fortunate to call Natai Beach home. Just a short drive from Phuket, this extraordinary stretch of protected coastline remains one of Thailand’s best-kept secrets. Whether you’re planning a day trip or staying with us for longer, getting to Natai Beach is refreshingly straightforward and worth the journey.

The Beauty of Natai Beach

Natai Beach offers more than ten kilometres of uninterrupted sand along the west coast of Phang Nga province. Unlike the more developed stretches of coastline further south, Natai is protected by government environmental laws that limit development and preserve the natural landscape. You won’t find high-rise hotels or rows of umbrellas here, just the sea breeze, open skies, and a peaceful shoreline to explore at your own pace.

This is the sort of beach where you can walk for hours without crowds, noise, or commercial distractions. It’s not just quiet; it’s wonderfully untouched. For guests who appreciate space, clean air and a sense of connection to nature, Natai Beach offers precisely that.

Natai Beach from Phuket

From Phuket, reaching Natai Beach is straightforward. It’s just 25 to 35 minutes by car from Phuket International Airport and a little longer from the southern parts of the island. Travelling north along Route 402, you’ll cross the iconic Sarasin Bridge into Phang Nga province. Once over the bridge, look for signs to turn left onto Route 3006; you’ll also see signage for Aleenta Phuket.

Route 3006 hugs the coast and quickly brings you alongside the beach. As the road curves right, the sea begins to open up on your left. From there, you’re never far from the sand. The drive is scenic, with glimpses of the ocean and palm-lined roads guiding your way.

Natai Beach from Other Parts of Phang Nga

Travellers arriving from other areas of Phang Nga will also find Natai Beach highly accessible. From the direction of Khao Lak or Takua Pa, Route 4 runs southward and connects easily with Route 3006 near Thai Mueang. From Phang Nga Town, the journey is pleasant westward along rural roads that eventually meet Route 3006, bringing you down towards the coast.

Road conditions are generally good and well signposted. There is minimal traffic, and the route provides an opportunity to see a different side of the region, including small villages, coconut groves, and glimpses of local life along the way.

Where to Access the Beach

There are several natural and welcoming places to access Natai Beach along Route 3006. A favourite spot for first-time visitors is Natai Pier, located near a small crossroads just north of the resort. It offers expansive views in both directions and is a wonderful place to get your bearings or enjoy a quiet walk.

In addition to the pier, you’ll find informal parking areas near shady paths that lead directly to the sand. These are uncommercialised spots with no entrance fees, no queues, and just open access to a pristine beachfront. Many visitors enjoy the simplicity of pulling over, stepping out, and being instantly surrounded by nature.

Guests staying at beachfront resorts, including Aleenta Phuket, have the added benefit of stepping directly from their suite onto the beach itself.

Natai by Private Car, Taxi or Transfer

Whether arriving from the airport or another part of Thailand, there are several easy ways to reach Natai Beach. Private airport transfers are one of the most convenient options, especially for those heading straight to a resort. Car hire is also popular for guests who prefer to explore at their own pace. Drivers in Thailand use the left side of the road, and signage in the area is clear and in both Thai and English.

Metered taxis are available from the airport, and although ride-hailing apps are common in Phuket, they are less reliable in Phang Nga. We recommend pre-booking transport where possible. At Aleenta, we are always happy to assist with transfers or car hire, ensuring a smooth arrival from the very first moment.

A Naturally Protected, Quiet Beach

Natai Beach is protected under Thailand’s coastal development regulations, which limit building height and density. This means the area has been spared the overdevelopment seen in other parts of the country. As a result, resorts along Natai, including Aleenta, operate with a deep commitment to sustainability.

At Aleenta, we’re proud to support community-led beach clean-ups, renewable energy goals, and conservation partnerships through the Pure Blue Foundation. Staying here doesn’t just feel good; it does good.

Staying Directly on Natai Beach

Aleenta Phuket – Phang Nga Resort and Spa offers guests the opportunity to stay directly on Natai Beach, with no roads separating your room from the sea. Our “All Suites, All Private” concept ensures every guest enjoys generous space and comfort, whether in a pool suite, ocean view lofts, or one of our expansive beachfront villas.

In addition to wellness programmes and award-winning spa treatments, our team offers personalised recommendations for exploring the best of the surrounding area, from boat trips through Phang Nga Bay to rainforest hikes and market visits. For those looking to combine nature, comfort and genuine hospitality, Aleenta is perfectly placed.

Let the Journey Lead to Natai

Getting to Natai Beach is easy, but the experience of being here feels like you’ve stepped into another world, one where time slows down and nature takes centre stage. Whether you’re arriving for a quiet afternoon walk, a day trip from Phuket, or a more extended stay at our Natai Beach Resort, you’ll find that Natai Beach offers a peaceful alternative to the busier tourist destinations nearby.

We look forward to welcoming you to our stretch of paradise, where your journey ends with sand beneath your feet and the gentle rhythm of the Andaman Sea.
